Last Tuesday, I started my first job in the real world! My work- study labor position, as program assistant in the Center for Transformative Learning, at Berea College truly helped me understand how to appropriately dress for the new job. The dress code for Monday – Thursday is strictly. On Friday, the code is business casual. Jeans are not allowed at work no matter how you dress them up, which makes me sad because I love dark denim paired with a pretty blouse and a blazer. My goal was to balance my style with the professional dress code. Here are the looks I’ve worn so far.
1st-The black and white floral dress is from Walmart. The shoes were originally from Avenue but I got them at Close Mentors for 10 bucks.
2nd- The blouse is from Dress Barn. I bought the pants from J.C.Penny’s a few years ago.Flats from Walmart.
3rd- The blouse and white cover-up are from Cold Water Creek. Pants from Lane Bryant. Flats from Walmart.
4th- The blazer is from J.C. Penny’s. The top and pants are from Lane Bryant. The shoes are from Walmart.
5th- The olive tunic is from Old Navy, the capris are from Walmart. Shoes: Clothes Mentor.
6th- Sweater if from Old Navy. Shirt was given to me. Pants were thrifted. Shoes from Walmart.
7th-Blazer and Pants are from Lane Bryant. The printed blouse was thrifted. The shoes are from Walmart.
Until next time
