Hey everyone! Long time no talk. Hope you all are enjoying the week so far! Here are my work looks for Today and yesterday. When all else fails, wear black! Originally I had different outfits planned out but I ended up wearing these. My main goals for this blog are to inspire body appreciation and also to showcase affordable fashion. I wasn’t feeling extremely color. Also, I can’t afford to purchase name brand anything let alone name brand plus size clothing like ASOS right now. My budget doesn’t restrict my beauty at all. There’s no excuse to look frumpy, not even a lack of finances.
Lately, I’ve had some trouble recognizing my own beauty. I go through phases where I cover myself up. The charade gets tiring. My black is beautiful. Wig, fro, braids, bald. The black this week represented a stripping of my affirmation of the Eurocentric concept of beauty. I rocked my fro for a bit. Finally, I’m rocking my box braids again!
