Hey Everyone! Hope your three day weekend was filled with relaxation! A few weeks ago, Alysse Dalessandro, owner of Ready To Stare clothing, released her It’s a 90’s Kinda World 90’s themed Fall Collection. Thankfully, Alysse allowed me to preview the collection before it debuted. Time was an enemy of mine. Life threw several curveballs and I didn’t get to blog about my thoughts on the collection. Alysse does a wonderful job of creating pieces for all women. She promotes body acceptance and self- love for all women. I dig that. As a big girl, I’ve experienced feelings of inferiority because of my size. When guys go for girls that don’t look like you, or you’re the last one to get picked in gym class because of your weight, feelings of hurt and rejection will definitely be present. Fashion is the same way. I get tired of seeing size 10/12 women being marketed as plus size. The media is harsh and unforgiving. In particular, the name of the line, Ready To Stare is a direct attack on the status quo of beauty. When you look good, and most importantly, when you feel good about yourself, people stare. Others notice your confidence in the same way that they notice your low self-esteem. Give them a good reason to stare! Be fierce at any size and age. Looking fierce is the best middle finger you can give haters!
Here are a few pieces from the collection that I enjoyed the most. Be sure to check out the collection.

I really like the red skirt. You can wear it with a lot of things. Plus, it's good for summer or fall.

The red skirt is my favorite piece as well. It can be dressed up or down. More importantly, like you said, it works well for both summer and fall!
