Cropped and Patterned

Someone told me that it was no longer June. I replied, “Julying.”  Ehhh, All corny jokes aside, I hope you all are doing well. This year is officially half way over. Maribel, Polina and I ventured out to Opry Mills to find professional clothing and undergarments for Polina. A few places that we visited were Ann Taylor Loft (Maribel’s favorite), H&M, Victoria Secret, New York and Company and Forever 21.

Because it was nearly 90 degrees outside, I wore my favorite romper from Torrid.

Please don’t be afraid of rompers! I’m petite and fat. My thighs are thick. If I can rock it you can too!
Like me, Polina had a difficult time finding a flattering bra in Victoria Secret. I only go in that store for perfume and cosmetics.  It’s not the place to go if your beats are larger than a double D. The clothes don’t come is plus sizes.

Maribel and I still had fun taking photos!  Am I any less sexy because of my height and size?

We stopped in several other store before I was too famished to continue. Maribel readily handed me a fiber bar to hold me over until we made it to Chuys Tex-Mex.
Lastly we checked out Forever 21. As most of you know, my experiences with this store are mixed. I’m a petite 22-24. The sizing of the plus line is on juniors not women’s. While I do have an hour glass shape, I also have flabby arms and a belly. Clothing here either really works for me or really sucks! Size 26+ women  will have difficulty finding clothing that fits and that not fair.  I tried on a few pieces today. Some where hits. Some were definite misses.

3x sizes flee quickly both in store and online. While I flip between 2x and 3x, I prefer to start with 3 and work my way down of need be. Since all of the 3xs were gone, I tried on the top and bottom in 2x. The bottom wasn’t so bad. Clearly, you can see tags my arms are screaming for rescue in the top. Also, I need a push up bra to really do this top justice. I might purchase both pieces this week. I think the top is $15.90 but I forgot to check the price on the skirt.

Peeped this baby online and I had to find it in store. Praise sweet black baby Jesus! I found it in a 3x. I forgot to take a pic of the back but it’s open. I will wear spandex to smooth my tummy line.

This piece was $20. Maribel loved this dress on me so I bought it. Plus, grey is a  fun, flattering color. I need more grey in my wardrobe.

This dress in a 3x was so flattering! I will spend the $27.90 to get it on Friday.

I love the detail in the next line! The print caught my attention as well!

Continually, I run into the same problem with the jumpsuits here. The top pads are too big on me, exposing my breasts and back in an undesirable manner. The bottom half is always too tight and extremely long. With much disappointment, I leave the store without a jumpsuit because I’m too fat and petite for forever. Should I apologize for not  being size 12-14 and 5’11???

I liked this plaid shirt in a 3x. It bunched a bit at my bosom but not enough for me to feel uncomfortable. I’ll buy it on Friday as well.

Say hello to my big friend! My belly is  large. At the moment, I can’t do anything to immediately slim it down. Yes this dress embraced my curves. Unfortunately, it did no flatter my belly or breasts. Still,  I will continue to try the body con trend.

Lastly. Not realizing that this was a top, I tried on what I thought to have been a dress. The color is flattering but already have a few shirts in this style.

Luckily, Polina was able to find good corporate pieces have can be worn for play as well. That’s the key to a solid wardrobe, the ability to interchange-  mix and match pieces. I totally forgot to take pictures of Polina in the pieces that she bought! Similarly, I forgot to take pictures of this adorable skirt form H&M plus! When I get it on Friday, I will. Forever 21 is growing on me but it the plus line needs to develop size wise.
Which pieces did you all like? Do you think that Victoria Secret should be plus friendly?  ( I definitely do!)
Leave your thoughts below.
Until next time,
