Funny Business

Happy Humpday! Friday is so close! I think I can, I think I can, I have to make it to Friday! I don’t know about you all but I am thoroughly EXHAUSTED!!!! Recently I’ve been so bogged down with struggling relationships in my personal sector that I needed an emotional break. Melissa, A friend of mine, informed me that one of our Berea College staff members would be hosting a comedy show at Zanies tonight. Quickly, I decided to take this chance to step away from my routine and have fun! Joe, won a comedy competition at the same club last month, and was asked to host this show. He did an awesome job! I have been saying for years that I have wanted to go to a comedy show at Zanies. Finally, I did it. The best parts of life exist outside of your comfort zone! My new found loneliness isn’t turning out to be so bad. As two doors shut, plenty more opened. Growth occurred. Instead of sitting at the same ole Starbucks 5 out of 7 days a week, i’m out living my life! I’m meeting new people, traveling to new places, and experiencing new things. The comedians put on a great show! Zanies is certainly on my list of places to return to more frequently.

Here’s what I wore to the show tonight.

I like classic fits and cuts with a hint of pizazz. On one of my many Ross excursions, I picked up this baby! I paired this dress with a shirt from H&M Plus.

Side note: Dont you all dare judge my selfie stick! I purchased it at the Opry Mills Mall for 20 bucks. As a blogger, and a person who spends most of her time alone, finding someone to take multiple full length photos of me is quite the task. This stick saves me the embarrassment of asking strangers to photograph me.

My matte lipgloss from Milani is no laughing matter! This gloss is the business. After eyeing it for a while, I decided to give it a try. Previously, I tried two matte glosses from Revlon and they were crappy. Milani is a brand that I fully endorse! On Friday, I’m heading back to my local Walgreens to purchase this item in the other colors. Don’t sleep on drugstore makeup!
Tonight was a blessing. Truly, I needed to laugh. Laughter is the best medicine especially for a broken heart. Growing up can be so tough. Don’t be afraid to let go. Let go of people, things, and situations that no longer suite you. Be able to laugh and enjoy life.
Hope you all are doing well! I’ll catch up with you all again soon
Until next time,
