All Eyes On Me

Another post on the same day? I know you are probably shocked but I’m trying to soba better job up maintaining myself outside of work. With that said, I can’t devout 40 hours a week to my boss and come home to chill, leaving my personal goals and projects unattended.

A few weeks ago, I had to get my yearly eye exam. As a working woman, I am thankful for insurance. I got new contacts and a new pair of glasses. I hadn’t had a new pair of glasses since my senior year of college.
Here’s a picture of my old glasses.

These are all of the glasses I tried.

I was so excited to try on new frames because my old frames have bad memories attached to them.

My granny died shortly after I got them.
Those frames remind me of having government insurance. I had to get the cheapest frames cause my insurance didn’t cover much. My frames remind me of poverty. I felt like an outcast in high school and those glasses remind me of that feeling.

Let me know how you like my new glasses! I really like the cat-eye shape  and the studded detailing. Have you gotten a new pair of glasses recently? If so, drop a selfie of your frames in my comment section!

I can see clearly now the rain is gone. Well, my prescription is updated and my frames are fresh.
Until next time,
-Nora
