Soul Searching Saturday is coming to a close soon. Kendrick said it best, “sometimes I need to be alone, don’t kill my vibe”. Beyoncé topped it off with, Me, Myself, and I- “that’s all I’ve got in the end, I’m gone be my own best friend”.
Do you ever just need to spend time with you? Have you ever felt like you’ve lost touch with yourself?
I’ve been in a funk. My parents health issues have bogged me down. I’ve been sad about where I am in life. I thought that I’d be in New York or at least singing somewhere in Nashville. I thought that I’d change the world. After some turbulence with a few friendships, I’ve felt disconnect and isolated.
I slept in today. August is quickly drawing to a close. The weather is cooling down. I headed to Catos to see what fall forward pieces I could find.
I like this dress but I will try it in a size up.
This dress is ok. I like the concept, I’m just not sold on the execution. The sleeves were quite tight but the body was shapeless.
On the rack, this dress was a yes. On my body, it’s a Hell No!
This dress is on sale for $29.99. It’s nice but not impressive to me.
I’m petite. My little legs are too short for this navy jumpsuit .
This denim shirt in a 26/28 was really cute! At Catos, sometimes, depending on the material, I either have to size up or down. Since my arms and breasts are large, I had to size up. If this shirt wasn’t $30 bucks.
The uneven hemline is nice. A leather pants, faux leather leggings, and black or grey jeans would look great this dress.
You all know good and well that I bought this shirt! Oversized shirts are my favorite. I can rock this as a dress with leggings and belt it to add shape. Maybe I’ll add a fringed black bag and my black floppy hat.
I can dress this top up or down. I can picture it tucked into a black body con skirt, tights, and booties
I tried this shirt in a 22/24. My breasts are too larger for the buttons. This green color screams fall.
I’m excited for leaf colored items, oversized shapes, and boots.
After window shopping, I took myself to dinner at Chili’s. There’s nothing like spending the day with yourself!

Self care is the best care. Make sure you’re spending time with yourself. Pay attention to mood changes, or any emotional indicators.
