Deja Vu

Happy Hump Day everyone! We are so close to Friday I can almost taste the freedom! I spent so much time thinking about some of the items that I went back to see if they were still there. I headed to Torrid and Charlotte Russe to get the items that I left behind previously, and see what I could find for both work and play time. Jessica and I hadn’t seen each other in a while so we went to Bob Evans for brunch and then headed to the mall. The weather has been so perfect lately!

Here’s what I wore:

I like to keep my attire simple but with a touch of my personality when I’m just going to relax. When I saw this shirt at KMart, I had to have it! It has a fun 80s vibe that I love. I can’t say this enough, I love bold patterns and prints. Please don’t sleep on KMart. I found some nice every day-going out transitional pieces that I’m happy to have added to my wardrobe. I’ll do a post on that trip later.  22/24-$12.98)

Here’s what I tried at Charlotte Russe:

This heather grey dress was so perfect! I regret not getting it! Sounds like a post I made recently. Total Deja vu’! For $23.99 I could have gotten this. It’s dainty and feminine. I can wear this to work, our dress it up for drink with friends.

My red hair looks good with this dress. Normally, I’ve steered clear of cut out pieces but this dress was on my heart for weeks! It’s so me. Classic with a kick!

After it taunted me for weeks, I finally purchased it. $23.99-3x

When I tried this on last time, I wore it in black. This did me No Justice this time around! Horrendous! I wore a different bra this time which may have influenced how the dress looked on me this time.

I liked the neck on this dress so I got it. It’s pretty similar to the grey dress that I should have purchased. I plan on dawning this in Alabama this weekend when I visit Katie.

Jessica found some cute spring tops but refused to let me take pictures of her.
Next, we went to Torrid just because. Last time, there was a long black tunic that I tried. It was $70 and the last size was a 2. Typically I am a 3x but that 2x fit my body so well! My responsible self overruled my inter style diva and I walked away from it. Both times, I forgot to take pictures of it. When I went with Jessica, it was still there and $20 dollars cheaper! God had me! What’s meant for you is for you. That tunic was for me!
I was balling on a budget. This polka dot dress was the last one in the store. I wanted it so terribly!

My arms were screaming! Normally, a 3x fits me well! My body was calling…..911…for rescue.

Because my arms and chest are so robust, I have difficulty finding pieces that cover my robust areas without swallowing my curves. This dress had so much potential.
I saw a cute pair of joggers on the sale rack but I exercised self restraint. Don’t sleep on the clearance rack!
Beauty:

I rocked this purple lip from Stila Cosmetics that I bought at Ulta. It’s dope! Plus, my red hair didn’t compete with this color. They complimented each other. It’s a matte lip stain. #boldcolorsandmelanin

Life:
Adulting is difficult. I am trying to do a a better job. My main goal is to save money. Bad things happen unexpected and I want to make sure that the solutions don’t deplete me financially.
I have learned to be more confident. I’m realizing that I am powerful beyond measure. My fear is not in my success, but in the responsibilities and consequences of achievement. I have to be confident in all aspects of my life. Hearing my best friend, Maribel, describe me to our Lyft driver changed my life! If she can see the good in me, why can’t I?
Despite feeling trapped in so areas in my life, I feel a breakthrough on the brink!
Let me know how you liked what I tried!
How are you all doing? Many times people speak to you but doesn’t listen for a response? How are you really doing?

Until next time,

Extras!
Here are some photos that I took.

How cute is this shirt from Torrid?? I must have it!

I’m just now getting comfortable with photographing my body from this angle. Most people aren’t giving side and back body love. I’m trying to love my entire body and not simply the angles that showcase my curves.
