Manic Monday is almost over! I’m taking a break from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta to tell you all about a restaurant that I recently visited. Cecilia, Maribel and I enjoy eating greatly. We eat together at least once a week, and sometimes more. The Gulch houses many cool restaurants and boutiques. Otaku, a ramen bar, is located off of Divison Street in The Gulch.
This was my first visit to this spot and I was 15 minutes late! I got lost!
Here’s what I wore that Saturday night:
I dawned this wrap maxi dress from Ross’s. This dress was under $20 bucks! What a steal! I’m rocking a size 2x but am still growing comfortable with tight clothing. I would have opted for a 3x of it had been available. Paired with the dress, I rocked my jean jacket from Cato’s Fashions.
Now onto the food!
The ramen was delicious! You could just buy some ramen, add chicken and boiled eggs, but if you are interested in spending $12, give Otaku a chance. I don’t like how the waiter rushed us to order, and rushed us out of the place. If you want to go for lunch or a quick meal, try out Otaku. If you want to lounge, and converse with your friends, find another spot. Maybe I will go again, to see if the atmosphere is any better.
Afterwards, we went to Urban Outfitters to see what cool items we could find. I wasn’t too interested in the store, or their thin pro ideology.
These colors are dope! I can’t deny it!
2 for $8 isn’t a bad deal, but I decided to save my coins. Adulting hella expensive!
Here are more pictures of my outfit:
You know how I love patterns and prints! I had to have this dress!
Anytime spent with friends is time well spent. The night wasn’t a total loss.
I slayed my face! This red matte stain from Milani gives me life! Brown girls rock red lips! Melanin wins!
This night reminded me to be unapologetically myself. We went into a store that made my friends feel less than because they aren’t a size 4. I model walked the same store, with the biggest, blackest body in the store, and felt beautiful. No storm can shake my inmost calm. I have good days and bad but I won’t complain. I have reliable transportation. I breathe easily. I can think and move without assistant. I have purpose. My future is bright. I experience storms but I survive them as well. After the night ended, we got milkshakes from Burger Republic and headed home.
In regards to Otaku, I am neutral. It’s ok.
If you try it out, let me know how you like it.
Dinky sleep on Ross! I have found some of my best, show stopping pieces from this store.
Until next time,
-Nora
