Day & Night: 24

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are doing well! I almost feel like going to confessions because I have sinned for not expressing myself on my blog for such a long time. So much has transpired, both in my personal life, as well as in the world.  I have so many things to discuss that I truly don’t know where to begin. Starting at my birthday might be the best place to pick up!
My 24th birthday was on a Friday in June. As you can probably assume, my celebration was a weekend long! This birthday was particularly interesting because it was my Golden birthday. I turned 24 on the 24th. You are supposed to do something extraordinary but due to adult responsibilities (BILLS) and upcoming trip to New Orleans ( I will detail later) I decided to have a more demure celebration.
Day:

Here’s the cake that my company got to celebrate my 24th birthday. It was a nice gesture. I truly felt special.

Since it was Blue Jean Friday at work, I was able to rock a more casual look for my big day.
The cover up is form Avenue Plus along with my jeans. My top is from JC Penny’s.

Make Up: Dramatic Red lips are always in. I decided to ombre two matte reds (Amore & Devotion) from Milani Cosmetics.
Night:

That night, Erika, Kristen and her husband, Nick joined me to celebrate at PF Changs. Afterwards we took a trip to Hustler Hollywood just for fun.
To spice things up, I wore this two piece from Charlotte Russe Plus.
Maribel and I had a joint birthday celebration since her birthday was Sunday 6/26/16 and mine was Friday 6/24/16.

Saturday Day:
Saturday, I spent most of the day at Opry Mills Mall trying to find a birthday gift for Maribel.
Night:

This year has been a journey. Firstly, I’d like to thank God for allowing me to live and to experience. Secondly, I am thankful the constant love and support from family and friends. To look back at where I started, and to see how much I’ve grown, I can nearly cry. My trials have made me stronger. smarter, and more appreciative of success. I used to be so insecure and uncertain about my talents, my purpose, my beauty, and my presence in the world. Today, I stand tall. I am not afraid to stand up for my values, and truth. Also, I am no longer afraid to let go of people, places, and situations that no longer encourage growth. Still I rise. Still I rise.
At 35, I hope to reflect on my twenties, proudly.
