Happy Hump Day everyone! I hope that you are doing well! Hello March. The days fly by so quickly. Time waits for no one. Make your time count! Speaking of time, my favorite cousin, Tiffany, is turning 23 this weekend. Recently, we went on a search for the perfect birthday outfit. She wants something that is fiery but still classy. Also, she came up with an amazing idea, wearing an outfit for her dinner and a different outfit for her night outing. While she is still coming up with the weekend arrangements, we did stop by our favorite plus size friendly stores in Opry Mills to put together ideas for her big weekend!
I wore a casual look to the mall for our excursion.

Our go to store is Charlotte Russe.
Here’s what Tiffany tried:
Tiffany say this on the rack and really liked it. It’s nice for spring and summer but she wants something more glamorous for her birthday celebration. This give me a boho, hippie, vibe.
I convinced her to try this romper on. Trying on something that looks BLAH on the rack usually can go two ways: either you realize how awesome the piece is or you’ll recognize how truly horrendous it is. This was a lukewarm situation. It’s not bad but it’s not popping like it should for her birthday. I want her to SLAY. Neither of us liked the material from what we say on the rack but it wasn’t terrible on her at all! The top half of the romper is flatter but the construction at of the shorts is not flattering. I don’t think that companies think about belly room and thigh meat when they make rompers. The lower half of this romper ruined a potentially lovely piece.
I can not tell you all how much I love this jumpsuit on Tiffany! It is so freaking nice! She can do so much with this and the floral print screams romance to me. She didn’t think she’d like this but I forced her to try it on. She ended up loving it!
Two pieces caught my attention while I was there:
This jumpsuit screams Nora. Fun. Flirty, and Classy
Some pieces you buy, without checking the price tags. I love dusters. I knew that I wanted this duster when I saw it.
Obviously the floral print in weighing on my spirit. I’m wearing a 3x in both items.
Sidenote: I only beat my face because my BH Cosmetic palettes came in the mail that weekend.
Tiffany is the real artist! I can’t wait until she makes a public space for dedicated to her art! She teaches me so much. She recommend that I use milk of magnesium to block the oil on my face when I wear makeup. My parents though that I had an upset stomach when they say the bottle. 😂 That trick worked so well. I’ve been suffering from oily skin for ever. I try to moisturize and primer and use a matte setting spray yet my face looked like I ran a 20 miles race after several hours. After trying the magnesium, I’ll never apply makeup without it. My face looks so nice with to under my foundation.
We stop at Torrid but we not trying to drop crazy money so we left.
Afterwards, we hit up Foreve 21’s plus section.
Initially, Tiffany was interested in wearing a cute romper and boots for her birthday dinner/ night out. We tried to find cute rompers that were birthday appropriate.
Here’s what she tried:
The button in the chest area of this romper was terrible. If there was a tad more fabric in the chest area, this romper would have been really nice! Otherwise, I like it on her.
After all of the trying on of clothes, Tiffany and I dined at Chuey’s. We ere so hungry! I enjoy spending time with her. You’ll have to wait until Saturday to see what she wears for her birthday!
Today is Ash Wednesday. Lent has begin. Just like Tiffany is learning to love her arms, I am learning to speak and think properly. I think so negatively about myself. My friends are constantly telling me to stop talking about my self with such negativity. For lent, instead of giving up something materialistic, I am trying to do something extra. I will focus on self affirmation. I need to gas myself up. Far too often, fear keeps me from enjoying life outside of my comfort zone. Because I don’t think that I can, I never do. For the next 40 days, I want to, as the song says, Encourage myself. Sometimes you have to encourage yourself. You have to pay your own self on the back. You have to speak victory over yourself and your life. I’m speaking victory today. I am claiming this year as my year of positive transformation. I will accomplish my goals. I will grow my audience. I will develop my brand. I will figure out where I need to be career wise. I will open myself up to new experiences and to love. I will be happy!
I hope that Tiffany’s 22 year of live is full of victory! I hope that we both can accomplish our goals and achieve our dreams.
Sometimes you can hinder yourself, block yourself from blessings. I pray that my attitude, or view point doesn’t block me from any opportunities. I pray that God removes any evil or wrong doing within my spirit. I am proud of how far I’ve come on this journey but I am cognizant of how much more I need to grow. I hope to focus on what I bettering myself and my thoughts during this period of reflection.
Which pieces do you like? What are you lenient resolutions? Drop a comment below! I can’t wait to hear from you all.
Unti next time,
