Eloquii x Draper James Collaboration

Draper James- Nashville

In the words of Staind, “It’s been awhile.” This is my first post since August of 2018.Unintentionally, I took a year off from blogging to get a better grasp on my personal life. Adjusting to new jobs, living on my own for the first time, aiding my parents sick parents, and just adulating in general has been a world wind. While unintentional, the break was much needed. I have so many experiences that I can not wait to share with you. I will catch you all up on my life away from blogging at another time. I am happy to return to blogging. Also, I appreciate all of the encouragement that I have received from my audience. So many people have reached out and inquired about my absence. Many have encouraged me to continue to use my voice on this platform.

While on hiatus, I received an invitation from Eloquii to attend their fall launch.  Eloquii is a plus size clothing brand that serves women, sizes 12-26. Recently, Eloquii teamed up with Reese’s Witherspoon’s lifestyle brand, Draper James, on a limited edition fall collection. The company is holding sip and shop events to allow the public to view the collection all over the country. Our local Draper James store was the site for the Nashville event. This is the first time that a brand invited me to an event! (*cues Moving On Up*)

Charlotte Russe: Jeans (24), Duster, (3x), Walmart: Tank (4x), Shoes: Payless, Bag: Steve Madden

Most of my experience with Eloquii has been through online window shopping. So many fabulous women dawn their luxurious, high end pieces. I am always impressed with the styles that I see but the prices tend to scare me away. In my 20 somethings (SZA reference, definitely go listen to this song), 26 to be exact, the price that I would spend for an item could equate to a phone or light bill. After trying on the clothes, I am extremely impressed with the company. The clothing is high fashion, the quality of materials is absolutely AMAZING and the fit for the most part is spot on. Sometimes, its better to pay for quality than to be cheap and continuously replace pieces. I will need to save coins to purchase items, but I will be glad to do so. This line is sophisticated, sassy, edgy and feminine. Draper James added the southern belle flare to the collection. I can not emphasis enough how happy I am with the sizing of these pieces. I wear between a 22 and 26, depending on material and the store where I am buying. This line is true to size and the pieces will look fantastic on all body types. This line made me feel so classy and elegant!also, I can not forget to mention how detailed the pieces are. The gold accents, subtle pops of color or mix of print and patterns really adds edge to these conservative pieces. The structure and shapes of these pieces fit nicely over my body. I am extremely satisfied with what I saw. I’ll leave photos of the pieces that I tried on below. Please tell me what you think. Have you had time to check out the collaboration? If not, you can visit Eloquii and Draper James for more details.

The chambray jumper dress, blazer, blue dress, black dress and coat were size 24. The bird dress was a 26. The navy polka dot shirt that I paired with the blazer and my jeans was a 22/24. The wrap dress is a 22.

I’ve got my eye on several other pieces as well! Can’t wait to make a purchase. If you decide to buy, please let me know what you get! Also, feel free to head to the Draper James store if you are in the Nashville area. You can try the pieces from the collaboration in store.

Thanks again for reading! I plan to release content more consistently. Please let me know which looks you preferred.

Until next time,

Nora
