Building My Glam Life ✨

Hi Loves,

How are you all doing? I hope that you and yours are still staying safe as many cities are beginning to reopen. On my media, you see me mention the phrase “Building My Glam Life”. My grandmother taught me that having standards as a woman is absolutely necessary. During the quarantine, I realized that I should not feel guilty or ashamed for desiring to live a happy, glamourus life. My basic needs need to be met AND i want surplus to travel and invest in my community. I love glitz, sparkles, and feminine styles. As I juggle school, my faith, work, and this brand, my budget is not as glamorous as I would like it to be. I am a corporate rebel, a girl with entrepreneurial dreams just trying to navigate the corporate world while I build my empire. My journey to building my glam life is just as important, if not more important, than the stories that I will share when I achieve my dreams and goals.

As I look at my platform today, I am astonished by how it has grown. When I started Lipstick, Thighs, and Plussize Life back in 2014, I had no idea what I was doing or how I wanted this brand to develop. My desire was to be a voice for underrepresented plus size women, for plus size women who were like me, building their desired lives, achieving goals, handling trauma, unlearning toxicity and learning to appreciate their beauty. At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about brands, social media influence, recording YouTube videos, digital strategy, search engine optimization or monetization. Although I am not exactly where I want to be, I have to pat myself on the back and relish in how far I have come. I truly did come this far by faith.

Today, I led a live on Facebook in partnership with Haute Tulip where I discussed my brand and business development tips. You can get the tea here by watching the live. In June, we are hosting a webinar for entrepreneurs so that you can learn about building a strong brand and starting a business. Get your ticket here.

I am a SUCKER for a body suit- denim jean combo. Kaela kindly sent me a few items to try from her Pretty Little Thing order. The pants are from Ashley Stewart.

Remember to celebrate all of your accomplishments, no matter the size. This is my second speaking engagement! Cheers to my journey and to my continued success! 🥂

Until next time,

Nora 💋
