We are now in the month of love! ❤️ This month, I will focus on love, self love, friendship, Godly love and romantic love. Frequently, when February arrives, everyone’s minds quickly focus on Valentine’s Day and romantic love. In this season of my life, I am prioritizing falling in love with myself and building a loving relationship with God. When you look good, you feel great. Before you can show up for others, and before you can give love to others or receive the proper love from others, you need to understand how to truly love yourself. Style is my expression and I feel like a million bucks when my outfit is giving.

In today’s blog, I am teaching you how to style glamorous plus size looks that won’t destroy your budget. If you know me, you know how much I love Walmart. Walmart has gone through a major upgrade across the board in the areas of trendiness, quality and affordability. Watch my YouTube video below to see what fun pieces I purchased and how I styled them with items that I already had in my closet. Showing up as your highest self is a mindset and an action. You can glam up a look for date night, brunch or a museum trip. Additionally, you can turn a basic errand look into a cute, casual glam slay. To my dismay, I found comfortable and affordable wide-width shoes at Walmart.

When I think of self-love, I think of knowing my worth, appreciating myself with knowledge of my good qualities and areas that need improvement, and lastly establishing and adhering to boundaries. On my journey, I learned that I loved some people more than I loved myself. Not understanding God’s love left me in a space where I was insecure and lacked confidence. Insecurity shows in how you carry yourself. Lack of confidence opens the doors for disrespect and abuse. Taking my power back, and reclaiming my crown started with find my style confidence. Mixing my affordable pieces from Walmart with my higher end items resulted in amazingly fierce looks and I felt amazing in the outfits

Here are my style tips for elevating your look:

Cardigans, Jackets (Denim/ Leather/ Camo) can take a basic top and leggings and transform it to a nice look.

Blazers add structure to casual looks. A colored or printed blazer can feminize and glamorize a set, or a basic top and pant look.

Accessories are key! Bracelets, watches, necklaces, anklets and earrings transform simple looks effortlessly. Details makes you look put together. Bags, hats, belts, scarves and shoes add personality and depth that evaluate basic looks.

Lastly, have fun. Style is supposed to be fun. Play around with colors, cuts, prints and patterns.
