Plus Size Fashion Inspired By My Nails (Nail’d By Tammy Collaboration)

Happy Thanksgiving Glams ✨

So much of my life has changed since my last post in May. As of today, I have been unemployed due to layoff for over 2 months. This season has been extremely scary and I’m learning so much about myself and life. Firstly, I’m learning that when one door closes, others open. At this point in life, I am ready to transition out of my titles as the corporate slayer and #recruiterbae and fully into my entrepreneur era. As I think over what I’m thankful for this year, peace is at the top of my list. This layoff has broken me in so many ways but I needed to be broken so that God can use me. I’ll definitely speak more about this transition and my decision not to seek corporate employment in future posts.

Today, I want to focus on one of the doors that opened up for me after my recent rejection from corporate america. Social media has afforded me the opportunity to build solid relationships and connections with my audience. One of those connections is a dope nail educator and nail technician named Tammy from Nail’d By Tammy. We decided to merge her nail art skill with my influence and fashion sense to cross promote each other. I’m all for collaboration over competition and also in support of black, woman owned businesses which Tammy and I both are.

We did a Nail Day Chit Chat where my audience was able to learn more about nail art, entrepreneurship and success. Watch that video below.

Since I am a fashionista, Tammy asked me to style glamorous looks with the nails as the outfit inspiration. Here are the looks that I came up with.

Honestly, I am completely humbled and beyond grateful for the opportunities God has provided me with after my lay off. I have a partnership with Good American and Shein that you’ll see on my media within the upcoming weeks. Also, I had the pleasure of attending my first PR trip for the Houston Host 2022 event in Houston, TX. I’ll tell y’all more about that soon. If you’re in a season of fear and uncertainty, keep trusting God. God is dealing with my faith. Instead of simply singing about God’s grace, mercy and goodness, I’m actively living through the trials and experiencing breakthroughs.

Which look did yo like best?

What are you thankful for this year? (comment below)

As always, I am thankful for you all! I have an amazingly supportive audience and I appreciate you.

Until next time,
